The city of Rosario features a distinctive business atmosphere and counts with an overseas port, a board of trade which is a leader in grain trading, an International airport, and five universities as well as approximately 30000 SMB’s. The population of the city in itself is of 1.1 million inhabitants and in the metropolitan area there are approximately 270.000 inhabitants. The city offers complete commercial infrastructure and services, as well as cultural and leisure facilities.




Highways connect Rosario with the cities of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe and a highway to Cordoba will soon be in operation. The internal road network allows fluid circulation avoiding the time loss inherent to transfers in large metropolitan areas. Rosario provides services to a wide surrounding region, amongst which health and education are the main ones. The major industries in the city are: Automotive, Meat Processing, Oil, Petrochemical, Iron and Steel and Metalmechanics.

Several Multinational Leading companies such as GM, ICI, and DOW have installed their plants within the industrial belt of Rosario.
